What does the $650 registration fee include?

  • Leadership and the SYGG 2018 registration program
  • Transportation fees from and to the airport, in addition to all transportation during the gathering.
  • Full board stay for 5 nights at Lady of the Mont - Fatqa (Starting Wednesday afternoon 18:30 till Monday morning 8:00)
  • Trip to the Saint Charbel and Our Lady of the Light Monastery
  • All activities within the leadership and regular program

What does the $550 SYGG 2018 registration fee include?

  • SYGG 2018 program
  • Transportation fees from and to Newark International Airport, in addition to all transportation during the gathering for (conference functions events only).
  • Full board stay for 5 nights at Minerals Hotel (starting Wednesday afternoon 17:00 till Monday morning 8:00)
  • Trip to the Saint Charbel and Our Lady of the Light Monastery
  • All activities within the regular program

What do both registration fees exclude?

  • Flight tickets and visa
  • Additional accommodation
  • Travel insurance
  • Optional Monday Schedule

Who will be providing transportation from and to the airport?

We will be taking care of the transportation from and to Newark International Airport (EWR) only, on the for the following dates:

What languages will be used in SYGG?

SYGG Program will be a mixture of Syriac and English, with translation available for each. However, the leadership program will only be in English.

Is the gathering restricted to Syriac Orthodox youth aged between 18 and 30?

The gathering is restricted to only our Syriac Orthodox Youth faithful from around the world. The target of SYGG is for Suryoye Youth ages 18 to 30 years old.

Who can attend the leadership program?

All participants of SYGG 2015 - 2017 and other people that are committed and active for the youth in the Syriac Orthodox Church. There are only 75 places for the leadership conference. Please register ASAP. If you have questions please contact us.

What will the donations help in?

Donations will help us in:

  • Providing robust and diverse spiritual offerings, true to our Syriac Orthodox faith, for our Syriac Youth from across the world, while maintaining a social atmosphere for our Youth to meet each other.

What is the deadline for registration?

The July 1, 2018. This is subject to change without notice.

What is the total number of seats?

The total number of seats available for SYGG 2018 is 300, which includes the 75 seats for the leadership conference.

How will the rooms be distributed during the gathering?

The rooms will be distributed in random unless previously requested. There are two room types: 2 queen beds (accommodates 4 people) and 1 King bed with sofa bed (accommodates 3 people). You can choose which room type you would prefer, subject to availability. If you would like to reserve a room with specific people you need to send us an email before July 1, 2018 specifying the room type and the name of the people in the room.

How do we know that there are places left to register?

We will be informing you on our Facebook Page (SY-GG) the number of seats available.

Obtaining a visa to the USA:

You should check with your local US embassy to determine what documents and visas may be required for your passport for entry into USA. The situation is changing often so it is best to check with your local embassy for latest requirements. If you need to confirm anything or have any questions please do not hesitate to ask us!
